Jamie Carragher ruthlessly mocked fellow pundit Micah Richards over a clip of the former Manchester City defender being exposed by Italian great Alessandro Del Piero back in 2010.

Del Piero had been a guest pundit on CBS Sports Champions League coverage, joining regulars Carragher, Richards, Thierry Henry and host Kate Abdo.

The presence of the Italy and Juventus legend prompted Carragher to point out that Del Piero had once faced Richards in a Europa League group stage match.

A clip showed Del Piero and Richards greeting each other for the toss before the match as captains.

The next highlight showed the Juventus star twisting and turning past Richards in the penalty area, before crossing for Nicolo Giannetti to open the scoring for the Italian side.

Richard's attempts to defend against the 2006 FIFA World Cup winner prompted laughter in the studio, with the former Man City star covering his face in embarrassment.

Carragher provoked further laughter by joking 'at least you won the toss', before asking 'Is the any clip, where anyone who hasn't taken you to the cleaners.'

The comment was taken in good spirts by Richards, who replied 'No, there's nothing, every player.'

Richards had captained Man City to a draw in the Europa League group stage tie, despite being exposed for Juventus' goal.

Brazilian forward Jo scored City's equaliser in a 1-1 draw, with the result having taken Roberto Mancini's side through to the Europa League last-32 as group winners.

Juventus had been eliminated from the competition after finishing third in their group behind Lech Poznan.
