Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is likely to have his loan spell at Valencia cut short after he was taken off at half-time in Tuesday's Copa del Rey defeat by Sporting Gijon.
Crystal Palace and West Ham have both shown interest in taking Batshuayi on loan this month though his form has been below par.
He has scored seven goals this season but four have come in two games for Belgium against Scotland and Iceland.
The 25-year-old has been keen to stay in Spain but Valencia coach Marcelino wants better options.
'We need signings up front. In some cases our patience has run out,' he said.
Palace are on the hunt for a new striker after struggling for goals this season, while Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is keen to add firepower to his squad this month.
Batshuayi starred while on loan at Borussia Dortmund during the second half of last season, scoring nine goals in just 14 appearances.
He joined Chelsea for £33million from Marseille in the summer of 2016, but has failed to nail down a regular spot at Stamford Bridge.

Michy is a good striker but his service at Valencia is just poor. With the amount of chances we create, he will get a sensational number of goals with his ability in front of goal. I'd take him back at the club honestly. Whoever Valencia sign up front will flop cos they can't provide good enough balls in... the midfield is whack...
