Milan 'could present opportunity for Allegri' as weighs up his next job

AC Milan could present an opportunity for the out-of-work Max Allegri as weighs up his next job, according to a report.

The 52-year-old has not taken up a new role since leaving Juventus at the end of last season despite links with a number of different clubs.

Calciomercato.it have taken stock of his situation by looking at his possible destinations, starting with the potential of replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.

The Norwegian could be sacked if results do not improve or if objectives are not met between now and June, though Mauricio Pochettino remains the favourite to take the Old Trafford hotseat.

Real Madrid is also a possibility for Allegri should Zidane be sacked at the end of the season, the report adds, while Paris Saint-Germain may opt for the Italian should they part with Thomas Tuchel.

Interestingly, Calciomercato.it mentions Milan as a potential destination, but the 'condition' is essentially is if Elliott Management choose to sell the club within the next year as their current project is one which would make Allegri decide against a return.

It was reported by il Giorno last month that Louis Vuitton group owner Bernard Arnault is interested in purchasing the club, and has earmarked the appointment of Allegri as his first big move, though those claims have since been denied.
