Modric celebrates his six year anniversary at Real Madrid

Real Madrid playmaker Luka Modric celebrates his six year anniversary at the club having signed for Los Blancos in 2012.

On Jose Mourinho's request, the Spanish club paid 35 million euros to Tottenham Hotspurs for the services of the Croatian midfielder and since his arrival to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, Modric has become an integral figure.

In his six years at the Spanish capital, the footballer guided his side to 14 titles: 4 Champions League, 3 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 1 LaLiga, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Supercopas de Espana.

Modric's debut as an official Madrid player took place two days after his presentation in a match against Barcelona in which ended in Los Blancos lifting the Supercopa de Espana.

Since that day, the Croatian has played 260 games, netting 13 goals in the process. He also received the Golden Ball award in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

And the player himself took to his personal Instagram account to celebrate his anniversary with the club, posting two photos from the day of his presentation at the Santiago Bernabeu.
