Alvaro Morata has briefly opened up about his true feelings towards his time as a Chelsea player.
The Atletico Madrid striker made the move back to Spain in January on an 18-month loan deal, a move that will be made permanent next summer.
And the Spain international has admitted the return to the Spanish capital put an end to a nightmare spell for him, and his wife Alice Campello, in the UK.
'It seems like the obvious thing to say to gain points with the fans but my family and I were coming from a really bad time in London,' he told the press at a Button Watch collection launch, as per The Sun.
'Here we have regained our happiness.
'Though many people may not believe it, we spent four or five summers wanting to come to Atletico. I am very happy.'

I think he was a bit unlucky cos he started off well but then the injury hit him and the leagues physicality was something he never adjusted to. Both elements of physical and mental stress hindered his growth and career. He was made for more technical and less physical leagues like the Serie A and La Liga. This is why people should understand why Pulisic is being handled carefully, you saw what the pressure of being forced to play as the number 1 nonstop did to Morata. Pulisic is even more frail than Morata was, let him bulk a bit and get acclimatise in some cup games then he can demonstrate his ability. Even Hazard wasnt thrown in directly. Only reason the other youth are playing is cos theyve gotten used to English football for years in the 2nd division or in Odoi case last year through the Europa and a few league games... Pulisic needs to be eased in, his case isnt the same as Mount who has spent 2 loans in 2 physical and technical leagues such as the Eridivisie and Championship and same for Tomori who spent a year in the Championship and even Tammy who spent 2 stints in both championship and 2 stints in prem too now. Pulisic has barely arrived so making him play in the physical premier league is the worst thing we can do, it would break him worse than it did Morata unless we let him find his stride and adapt
