Who should take spot kicks in the future? MEN Sport posed this question to fans on Twitter.
It was Gundogan who was backed to be City's main penalty taker. He has scored each of the eight penalties he has taken for club and country in his career, including two for City.
Gundogan received 52.3 per cent of the 1,990 votes, with Sergio Aguero coming second with 37.2 per cent.
Raheem Sterling was backed by just three per cent, as the option to name another player picked by 7.4 per cent of fans.
Among those replies were plenty of calls for Kevin de Bruyne to take penalties, with Rodri, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo also being suggested.

Riyad Marhez is a good penalty takers judging from his achievements while in Leicester as their penalty takers but he lost many City fans confidence since that penalty missed at Anfied last season.

Sterling just dont seem confident or comfortable when taking penalties. he shouldn't be given that responsibility let Kdb take it. sure goal no rebounds

To be honest: anyone can go up to the spot on this team. Me I prefer Aguero (past experience) , but Gundogan’s trickery run-up is seemingly accurate.
