Jose Mourinho and Tottenham have been praised for a 'class touch' in sending a letter to an ill supporter.
The Portuguese had only recently taken the helm when he was informed of John Kessler, a Spurs fan, who fell seriously unwell.
And Mourinho's note 'meant the world', according to Kessler's friend, who posted the details on social media.
He wrote: 'Want to say a massive thank you to Spurs and Jose Mourinho, who within days of taking the job at Spurs sent this letter to a friend of mine who sadly fell very ill.
'This letter means the world him and speaks volumes of Mourinho and the club. Class touch.'
He also shared a screenshot of the letter itself, which read: 'Dear John, I was extremely sorry to find that you have not been well recently.
'I should like to take this opportunity to send you my best wishes on behalf of all the staff and players at the club. We hope that you are managing to keep your spirits up and want you to know that we're all behind you!
'I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued and much appreciated support of the club.
'Kind Regards, Jose Mourinho.'
The new Tottenham boss seems to be endearing himself to supporters and there has been an upturn in fortunes since he replaced the sacked Mauricio Pochettino.
Despite defeats at Manchester United and Bayern Munich, Spurs have won four out of the first six games under the manager and are now six points off the Champions League places.
