Love him or hate him, people simply listen when Jose Mourinho speaks.
Whether it be a cheep backhanded comment, insult or joke, or a thoughtful piece of analysis that hits the spot, when Jose speaks, people listen.
Over the years there has been no love lost between Liverpool and Mourinho, with the Portuguese enjoying domestic and European success, while the Reds simply watched on.
But over the course of the last few months, it seems that the former Chelsea and Manchester United chief has been changing his attitude towards the Premier League leaders.
It all first started when working as a TV pundit at last season's Champions League final, with Mourinho left in awe of Liverpool's supporters.
The three-time Champions League winner was quick to highlight on live TV the incredible atmosphere the Reds faithful was creating inside Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
“This is more beautiful than what we can say!” he said while 50,000 Liverpool fans belted out You'll Never Walk Alone before the game.
Since then, plenty more compliments have followed.
But it was Mourinho's positive comments after Liverpool's win over Man City back in November that Jurgen Klopp's side have well and truly backed up.
"If you are behind [in the title race], you have to feel like you can reach them,” he said on Sky Sports following the game at Anfield.
“If you are top of the league with a big advantage, you have to feel like it is not over.
"But I am not there, I'm here. And here, from my position, I think it's done unless something dramatic happens in terms of an injury situation that breaks the team.
"But I think the team is a complete puzzle. I feel the way they play is adapted to the qualities of the players.
"City are capable of winning seven, eight, nine matches in a row, but I can't see how Liverpool can lose this advantage of nine points to them."
Following that win over Pep Guardiola's side, the Reds maintained their unbeaten start to their Premier League season until being toppled by Watford in February.
Along the way plenty of records have been broken, as Jurgen Klopp's side simply brushed aside anything that stood in their way.
And now the Reds stand on the brink of claiming their first league title for 30-years.
Just two more wins is all it will take once football resumes and Mourinho, as he will probably point out himself, will once again have been proven right.
