David Moyes has revealed that he will always regret leaving Everton for Manchester United.
After eleven years at Goodison Park, during which he earned much praise for his work at Everton, Moyes was appointed as United manager in 2013 as the successor to the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.
Moyes' spell at United certainly didn't go to plan as he was sacked after less than a season.
The 56-year-old told Richard Keys and Andy Gray that he doesn't regret becoming United manager but does wish that he could have stayed at Everton longer.
Speaking on The Keys and Gray Show on beIN SPORTS, Moyes said: 'I think I'll always look back and regret leaving Everton because of the team and the players I had built at that time.
'But I'll never be regretful for joining Manchester United or doing what I've done.
'I think in football we all make decisions - Andy will tell you as much as anything - some work for you, some don't work for you.
'I think on the journey of being a football player or football manager you're never always going to have good times. You're always at times going to have ups and downs.'
During his time at Everton Moyes brought in players such as Tim Cahill and also guided the club to the semi-finals of the FA Cup in 2009.
Moyes is still managing in the Premier League, with West Ham, where he is now in his second spell in charge.
The Hammers have won just three games out of 12 in his current stint, but Moyes believes that the club are heading in the right direction.
He said: 'I've got to say at the moment I'm really enjoying my time back at West Ham. I think that we've started positively enough.
'I think that we've shown a lot of good signs. A couple of good signings in January have given us that opportunity to improve.'

I totally agree with him on that . It was a complete failed quantum leap , like in a high jump , when you skip 6.5 height to try 8.5 clear , no way , he could have turned down the offer , because he was nowhere near Sir Ferguson's replacement by any standard, the whole process went down the history lane as one of the worst decisions ever made by both parties , and Utd is yet to recover from that awful experience , hopefully Ole will soon wipe away those memories . #GGMU

I think there's no point of regretting what happened in the past. You learn by making mistakes. Anyways, managers should welcome challenges. You learn so much with different challenges at different clubs and players. Now, Moyes has a very important job at West Ham. They have been below average for years. He has to work towards rebuilding that team and taking them back to where they were strong before.

What's The Point Of Saying This Right Now?! David Moyes. You Are The One That Couldn't Resist The Call From SAF Asking You To Be THE MANAGER OF MANCHESTER UNITED.., You Took The Bullet On Your Own Account.., Don't Complain And Regret Now. The Reality Is The Job Was Simply Too Big For You To Handle. [ko]
