Musiala made transfer feelings very clear as Liverpool get green light for move

Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has already described the Premier League as ‘the strongest and most attractive league in the world’ amid transfer interest from Liverpool.

The Reds are considering a sensational move for Musiala, 20, with Jurgen Klopp a huge admirer of the former Chelsea youth star. The Germany international is not leaving Bayern Munich anytime soon, with a contract with the German champions running through to 2026.

Musiala has played a crucial role in Bayern's success in recent years, scoring 16 goals and providing 16 assists in all competitions last season. He famously came off the bench to score a last-gasp winner against Koln in May to hand Bayern the Bundesliga title.

Yet despite already consolidating his status as one of Europe's best-attacking players and with his prime years seemingly still lying ahead of him, all is not ideal for his situation at Bayern. As reported by Bild, contract renewal talks scheduled for April have yet to take place with Musiala less than happy with not being an undisputed starter at Bayern.

That has been relayed by Sport1, which doubles down on the Reds' interest in the playmaker. While there is no suggestion that Musiala is imminently about to leave the German giants, there is an acknowledgement that they have work to do for him to commit long-term.

Manchester City and Real Madrid are also said to be keeping tabs on Musiala’s situation, although there is an acknowledgement that any deal in the upcoming transfer windows would not be a realistic ambition. However, Bayern may be concerned about his intentions further down the line.

Musiala recently told Bild when speaking of the possibility of a move to England: “The Premier League is the strongest and most attractive league in the world at the moment, but I feel comfortable here and am focused on being successful with Bayern. But you never know what will happen in a few years.”

Musiala has already 10 trophies with Bayern - including the Champions League - and was named in the Bundesliga's Team of the Season for 2022/23. He boasts an impressive record in the Bundesliga, scoring 23 goals and providing 20 assists in 94 games.

He previously played in England’s international youth teams before declaring for Germany at senior level, where he has scored two goals in 25 appearances.
