Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir has insisted he has 'totally come to terms' with his failed summer move to Liverpool and admits he doesn't know the reason it collapsed.
The French playmaker was on the verge of a £53million move to the Reds in June when negotiations came to a complete halt due to doubts over the 25-year-old's fitness.
He was seen as the long-term replacement for Philippe Coutinho but medical complications arose after a lucrative five-year deal had been agreed.
Fekir has now admitted he has put the failed transfer to bed and insists he just wants to move on.
'Yes, I have totally come to terms with the failed transfer to Liverpool,' he told Foot Mercato.'These things happen, it's just how it is. We have to move on, it's well in the past now.'
Asked why the deal broke down, Fekir replied: 'I heard lots of things, the real reason? Only (Liverpool) know.'
Fekir made his competitive return for Lyon against Strasbourg on Friday night having enjoyed a break following the World Cup.
He came on as a 79th minute substitute as goals from Martin Terrier and Bertrand Traore sealed a comfortable 2-0 Ligue 1 win.
The attacking midfielder also set out his ambitions for the new campaign and admitted he wants to challenge for some silverware.
On his targets this season: 'I always give myself high targets to hit. Like at the start of every season, I give myself tough challenges but honestly I haven't put an exact number on the number of goals I want to score.
'I am going to try and help the team as best I can and to reach the final stages of every competition.'

Whoever leaked or invented the story of his old injury worry is a major dik. Other clubs will now think twice before considering him. As an LFC fan, I feel sorry for him.

That’s what most players lack, forget about what it was meant to be and go on with the current, let other players learn from him and concentrate on the current team for their goodness and that if the team
