Nabil Fekir said reason about his aborted transfer to Liverpool

Nabil Fekir said he has moved past his aborted transfer to Liverpool - but has not closed the door on a future move to the Premier League.

The World Cup winner looked set to join the Reds but saw a switch to Anfield fall through.

Fekir, 25, underwent a medical with the Champions League finalists only to see the plug pulled on a deal, amid suggestions that Liverpool were concerned with a long-standing knee problem.

The £53million switch was never revisited following the finals in Russia, and Fekir has remained with French giants Lyon.

And now he insists he is fully focused on the campaign ahead with OL, and isn’t wasting time thinking of what might have been.

"What happened with Liverpool is straight out of my head, I turned the page," said Fekir.

"We must not stop at this, we must move forward. There are things that must be accepted."

Fekir has just over 18 months left on his OL contract, amid suggestions that he could become a target for Premier League clubs in January when the transfer window reopens.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas stated in June that he was eager to extend the playmaker’s deal, but Fekir says discussions are yet to take place and that his long-term future remains in question.

“My future? We have not discussed an extension yet, we will see what happens."
