Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli assures Real Madrid and Barcelona target Fabian Ruiz is not on the market. ‘We’ll talk about a contract renewal.’
The midfielder was purchased from Real Betis for €30m in the summer of 2018 and he has gone from strength to strength, becoming a regular in the Spain squad.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are in a bidding war for the 24-year-old, but director of sport Giuntoli is standing firm.
“Fabian has three years left on his contract and we’ll talk about a renewal next year,” Giuntoli told Sky Sport Italia.
“I think he will remain at Napoli, as he is happy here and gets along very well with Gennaro Gattuso.”
Fabian contributed three goals and two assists in 32 competitive games this season.
