According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli's plan to sign Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus this summer has hit a snag.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reported today via Calcio Napoli 24 that Napoli wants to sign Arsenal player Gabriel Jesus on loan, but the deal cannot proceed due to the Brazilian forward's contract situation with the Premier League club.
After Lukaku decided to leave, Napoli has entered the transfer market to find a forward. Sporting director Manna views Jesus as a potential replacement for the Belgian, but external factors will determine whether this transfer materializes.
Jesus has only one year remaining on his current Arsenal contract, making a one-year loan impossible. He can freely negotiate a free transfer with any club from January onwards, but Napoli cannot wait until then to complete the signing.
Another obstacle is Jesus's salary at Arsenal, which stands at 9 million euros per year after tax. Napoli cannot currently afford this wage and must first negotiate a salary reduction directly with the player. Only after agreeing on personal terms can they then discuss a possible transfer with Arsenal.

I don’t understand this Italian clubs and their finance, just 20m and they still prefer a loan for an established elite player of Jesus’ calibre?? But they just signed Hoijlund for 43m. They don’t like spending on other players but want other clubs to spend on theirs. Nonsense

If he's class then why is Arsenal selling him? He's inconsistent, injury prone player
he is still a class player. it's just that Arsenal has outgrown him, and he is more suited for Napoli level club, just like he was more suitable for the level Arsenal were when he joined
