Neville: Tottenham's relegation “would be very good” for Premier League

On the "Stick to Football" podcast, Manchester United legend Gary Neville said that if Tottenham were unfortunately relegated this season, it might be a good thing for the Premier League.

Tottenham this season are mired in a relegation crisis from which they cannot extricate themselves. With only 9 rounds left in the Premier League, Tottenham are only 1 point above the relegation zone, and the situation of staying in the league is precarious. Manchester United legend Neville believes that Tottenham's relegation is actually beneficial to the Premier League from the perspective of the overall development of the league. "From the perspective of league competitiveness, it is a good thing for Leeds United and Sunderland to successfully stay in the league. At the beginning of the season, my biggest concern was that every team that was promoted would be directly relegated (at the end of the season). Of course, the league does not necessarily have to relegate Tottenham, but there must be teams other than the promoted teams that are relegated.
