Gary Neville believes the Premier League should continue to use VAR (Video Assistant Referee) despite more controversy last weekend.
Liverpool's Roberto Firmino had a goal ruled out as his armpit was deemed offside and the technology was a talking point after a number of incidents in Everton's draw with Tottenham.
Neville's Sky Sports colleague Jamie Carragher said he always thought VAR had to be given a chance to settle in, but says he 'can't support it anymore' after failing to do 'what it was brought in to do' following the match at Goodison Park.
However former Manchester United full back Neville insists England's top flight should persist with VAR but should learn from other competitions that have used it.
He wrote on Twitter on Tuesday: 'Whilst I never agreed with the "Clear and Obvious Error Bar" or "Refs won’t go to the Monitor". I actually think the main problem has been the refs not sticking to their approach.
'They were frustratingly consistent in the way they were applying the system for 2 months.
'They moved the bar on clear and obvious and it has unnerved them! We should keep VAR but use it like the other competitions that have experimented with it.
'We were arrogant to think we could come up with a better system. The VAR ref says to the on-field ref go and have a look.'

Only English referees don’t know how to use VAR. They need to start going to the monitor. That’s the main problem with English referees. Things needs to change with VAR

only English Referees doesn't know how to use VAR. it's very hard in England to overturn some Referees decision in England.
