Gary Neville and Paul Scholes shared a hilarious exchange while enjoying a night out with friends at a Christmas meal.
The former Man United duo have remained close friends since retiring from playing, while also being business partners as investors in Salford City.
Scholes and Neville were two of United's most celebrated players, with the pair having won numerous titles together during their time at the club, including the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
Such is their friendship that Neville was on-hand to record an awkward moment featuring Scholes while the duo dined at a swanky restaurant.
49-year-old Scholes was serenaded by live music as a singer, cello player and saxophonist made their way around the venue before taking a stand next to the United legend.
Neville grabbed his moment to jokingly embarrass his former team-mate as a rendition of 'I love you baby' broke out that plenty in attendance joined along with.
Scholes looked awkward as the song continued to ring out while Christmas crackers adorned the roundtable he was sat at and had a message for Neville after he was spotted being recorded.
Turning to face Neville, the Englishman showed his middle finger to the camera, prompting an outburst of laughter from Neville who later posted the clip on his Instagram account.
Neville captioned the short video 'I love you Scholesy' with comments revelling in the comedic exchange.
One viewer stated: 'Hahaha if awkwardness had a face! Poor guy,' in relation to Scholes' response.
Another sarcastically added: 'You can see how much he's loving that'.
Others commented: 'Ahhh this made my day. My favourite player!'.
