New Chelsea signing Gonzalo Higuain was in attendance at Stamford Bridge to support his team-mates in their Carabao Cup second leg clash against Tottenham on Thursday night.
Higuain signed for Chelsea on loan from Juventus on Wednesday, but the deal went through too late for him to be able to feature against Tottenham.
However, the Argentine was still at the game and received a warm reception as he was presented to the crowd before kick-off.
Earlier in the day Higuain was put through his paces at Chelsea's Cobham training ground.
The 31-year-old, whose former clubs include Real Madrid and AC Milan, will be seeking to solve Chelsea's difficulties in front of goal.
Alvaro Morata, who looks set to leave Chelsea for a loan spell at Atletico Madrid, has found consistency hard to come by, while Olivier Giroud has been unable to hold down a regular starting berth, with Eden Hazard frequently being deployed up front instead.
Higuain's Chelsea debut could come on Sunday evening when Maurizio Sarri's side host Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

wish he will do it good. like this man iwhen in madrid when he played. he show he have talent. in napoli he make records. and hope he will show 50% of that he have done in Madrid, napoli, juventus. becose we need that in Chelsea. our attacker are in problems. they don't make goals like strikers need to do. but I have bad felling but I hope I am wrong. Chelsea make lot of mistakes last couple years whit strikers. speend money on bad striker. And don't give chances to young talents they sell them fast. but it's becose they change to many coach also. and everytime new coach come to Chelsea thinks change. I steed Chelsea should say we have this and this player's take the job or not. and fokus to build Chelsea for next 5-7season.
