The new year is only a few hours old and already VAR has made its first controversial decision of 2020 by ruling out Jack Grealish's goal against Burnley - due to Aston Villa striker Wesley's heel being in an offside position.
The Villa star believed he had headed the visitors in front but after a short delay from VAR it was ruled out.
Television replays showed the video referees zooming in on the position of Wesley's heel however and given that it was marginally ahead of James Tarkowski's boot, the goal was disallowed.

Seriously. VAR NEEDS TO STOP. It was brought in to check clear and obvious mistakes but now, when ever there is a goal scored, they check it using VAR. At first it was OK, now it's just ruining the beautiful game.
