Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has been diagnosed with pneumonia and is recovering in hospital.
The 47-year-old was admitted to hospital on Friday night and missed his team's 4-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday.
But in a club statement on Monday, Howe said that he was looking forward to returning as soon as possible. In the meantime, Jason Tindall and Graeme Jones will take charge of Wednesday's visit of Crystal Palace and Saturday's trip to Aston Villa.
Howe said: 'A huge thank you to everyone connected with Newcastle United and the wider football community for your messages and warm wishes. They have meant a lot to me and my family.
'I also want to pay tribute to our incredible NHS and the hospital staff who have treated me. I'm immensely grateful for the specialist care I'm receiving and, after a period of recovery, I look forward to being back as soon as possible.'

Newcastle won Man Utd 4-1 without a coach, while if they had coach? I feel it would had ended 8-1.
