Newcastle fans were pleading with Bruno Guimaraes's WAG to let him play after she gave birth to their first child.

Guimaraes, 24, and his girlfriend Ana Lidia Martins, 25, welcomed son Matteo on Friday (October 21), two days before the Magpies are set to face Tottenham on their travels in the Premier League.

With the midfielder becoming a key player and fan favourite since his January move from Lyon, the Toon Army were all thinking the same thing after the news broke. One supporter wrote: "Admit it, everyone on the #NUFC timeline is secretly thinking 'I hope Ana let's him play on Sunday'."
