Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is looking forward to the weekend's St James' Park double header.
Newcastle will meet Fiorentina and Villarreal on Saturday and Sunday.
Guimaraes told NUFCTV: "We know we have the Champions League this year and we're going to play teams in Spain so we need to be ready. The two games will be two good tests for us.
"It'll be a good test for us. Fiorentina are a good side, they proved in the Conference League it's not easy to get to the final and they played well. It'll be good for us.
"Villareal - two good games for us. It'll be nice to meet the fans again at St. James' Park. I'm very looking forward to it and meeting them again.
"We have one week to prepare and be ready because we have good things ahead. We know it's a friendly [tournament] but it's good to win.
"To be honest it's not too important for us but it's nice to get a title. To have two games and I think we have the conditions to win the trophy at home.
"It'll be good for Sandro [Tonali], Harvey [Barnes] as well to meet the fans. I'm looking forward to it and we know how important the fans are.
"We've been playing for a season here and the fans are so special for me and the team."
