Newcastle reveal new kit dedicates to anniversary of Inter-Cities Fairs Cup win

Newcastle United have revealed their new home shirt for the 2019-20 season.

The club have looked to pay tribute to their 1969 side on the 50th anniversary of their Inter-Cities Fairs Cup win.

Joe Harvey's side beat Hungarian side Ujpest FC and the new home kit mirrors the one worn by that side closely with black shorts and traditional black and white turnover socks.

While trophies have been hard to come by in more recent times, supporters will hope the latest design helps inspire Rafa Benitez's players to cup success.

It was made available for supporters to buy on June 19 and will be worn by the players once pre-season fixtures get underway.
