Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has withdrawn from international duty with Senegal to undergo surgery on a wrist injury.
Jackson had worn a splint on his right arm during his last two matches to protect the injury.
The Senegalese forward had been suffering from the problem ahead of Chelsea's 1-0 win over Brighton in the Carabao Cup, as reported by the Daily Mirror.
Jackson has reportedly undergone a minor operation to correct the issue.
The operation has led to the 22-year-old pulling out of Senegal's match against Cameroon.
Senegal confirmed Jackson has not joined up with the squad ahead of the friendly in France on October 16.
Rangers striker Abdallah Sima has been called up as Jackson's replacement.
Jackson is expected to be fit for Chelsea's next Premier League match against Arsenal, with the Blues hosting the London derby on October 21.
The £30million summer signing has scored three goals in nine appearances since joining Chelsea from Villarreal.
Jackson has scored in consecutive starts for the Blues including netting the winning goal in the Carabao Cup win.
He also struck in Chelsea's 4-1 win over Burnley on Saturday, keeping him level with Raheem Sterling at the top of their goalscoring charts this season.
Jackson had missed Chelsea's 1-0 win over Fulham due to suspension, which came between their wins over Brighton and Burnley.
Chelsea will head into the London derby with Arsenal seeking to record a fourth consecutive win in all competitions.
