The winger has only featured once for the Lilywhites this season

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou's time at Spurs could finally be about to come to and end once the transfer window reopens in January.

Struggling to force his way into the team following his move from French giants Marseille in 2016, the winger has only made one appearance this campaign despite catching the eye in the pre-season tour of the United States.

Absent from the club's Champions League squad, the 23-year-old's only real chance of playing for the Lilywhites this seasons looks like it will come in the Carabao Cup.

However, given he came off the bench at West Ham in the previous round, there is a possibility he may not even make the squad next month when they face great rivals Arsenal for a spot in the semi-finals.

Leaving the club last January to join Burnley on loan, Meissa Ndiaye, the player's agent, has revealed why the player didn't move on in the summer despite interest from clubs in France, Germany and Spain.

"The president and the owner of Tottenham are not the easiest to seduce in the transfer window," he told France Football (via Sport Witness ).

"The fact that he did not leave is only the responsibility of the club.

"Things could not succeed for economic reasons, but it was not a drama either."

He added: "The idea is to leave in January. Both sides want to move forward and turn the page."
