Yeah it’s awful when you have one good player and just a decent coach. Now they will have no good players and most likely not even a decent coach anymore lol.

That's exactly what I've been saying. I'm pretty sure, as weird as this sounds, Griezmann agreed to stay for a year so he could leave Atleti money when he left.

I haven't heard much about Griezmann this season. Not sure whether that's because he's been average or just that Atleticos season been so meh, this move will be important as this could make or break him

Maybe this ends up like Coutinho too where they wanted to fulfill a childhood dream of playing for Barcelona even if it meant they were leaving a great situation ...If he even ends up here. Let me also go on record and say that Griezmann would be a far better fit for us than Coutinho. I was disappointed we didn't get him last year.

Atletico spend 140 Million last summer bringing in decent players only to finished 11 points off the top of la liga and bottle it in Champions league. Can’t blame Griezmann for wanting to move

I mean the biggest challenge today's world club faces is defending a 3-0 lead, and I think Barca is the perfect place to face that challenge. Can't fault Griezmann for his decision.

I think it's pretty obvious Atletico are going to be in a rebuilding mode for next at least year or two. Griezmann feels this is his primer and doesn't want to wait on them. Plus there ain't a single football player who doesn't want to play with Messi before he retires.

Atletico had a transfer ban last season, so they asked Griezmann to stay 1 more year, and also sign a new contract so they can sell him high the next season (19/20), what's the problem with that? I wish Arsenal at least did some of this type of good business.

Griezmann will probably do the Fortnite L dance as he leaves Atletico, finally revealing his true form, and thus becoming the next great villain. Signed, Bitter Croatia Fan

Remember when Arsenal could have signed him, before Griezmann went to Atletico? Not that it mattered that much ultimately.

Now they can offload him and messed up other team wage structure This isn't the NBA, player contracts aren't maintained through transfers. I know, what I mean is that Griezmann is going to use that as leverage for his negotiation.

In my perfect world, Hazard stays, CAS appeals the transfer ban, Griezmann signs, happy days at Stamford Bridge

I don’t judge purely on stats but they are a huge part of the game and honestly Americans judge more on winning than stats mostly anyway. Griezmann is a better all around player and more versatile but Kane is such a great goalscorer that he’s a better more effective striker.

Of course there wouldn't be any hatred thrown at him. They love him very much and he has the same love for them. Obviously him deciding to move on from Atletico is more of a personal reason(thinks he deserves to be winning more trophies?) because it seems as though he was extra comfortable there. It doesn't even look like he recovered from the day when he announced his departure, he looks as though he was going to cry
