Norwich line up loan move for veteran Schalke goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann

Norwich are in talks with Schalke over a season long loan deal for 30-year-old goalkeeper Ralf Fahrmann.

He would provide competition for Tim Krul, who was No 1 for the Championship winners last season.

Last term, Fahrmann was benched mid-way through the campaign in favour of Alexander Nubel.

He is immensely popular at Schalke having made more than 200 first team appearances for the club.

Daniel Farke knows of his quality and understands he'll need solid options in goal for what could be a difficult campaign for the Canaries in the Premier League.

Patrick Roberts and Josip Drmic have already arrived and Norwich are looking to push on with further business.
