Nottingham Forest are considering a move for Dinamo Zagreb keeper Dominik Livakovic.
The 28-year-old starred for Croatia at the World Cup, helping his nation see of Brazil in a penalty shoot-out before they were knocked out in the semi-final by eventual winners Argentina.
As previously reported, Forest are looking to sign a keeper after Dean Henderson suffered a thigh injury which is set to rule him out for a month.
Wayne Hennessey, who has made just one Premier League appearance all season, is set to come in for Henderson in their six-pointer away at Bournemouth on Saturday.
Though Steve Cooper is keen to add to his options to strengthen their chances of Premier League survival.
Forest had previously attempted a move for Livakovic in the summer.
They are now considering him, along with two or three other keepers as they look bring someone in by the end of the January window.
The Athletic have reported that three-time Champions League winner Keylor Navas is among the list of candidates.
Henderson was able to finish the 2-0 victory over Leicester, but was in clear discomfort, after injuring himself while taking a goal kick at the start of injury time.
Following the game, Cooper did not hide his concern after the final whistle.
He said: 'My first impression is that it is not good. But scans will tell us more and give us more clarity, over the next day or two. We will have to see how that goes.
'It is a muscle injury. We believe in his thigh. But we will find out more in the coming days.'
