The British government has officially added Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to list of sanctioned individuals.
Abramovich has seen his assets frozen, but Chelsea have been given a sporting licence to continue trading as a football club.
However, the measures mean he will no longer be allowed to sell Chelsea Football Club.
And the club are also set to be impacted in numerous ways, including being unable to sell tickets with only season ticket holders able to attend games.

It’s major news, and Chelsea are in trouble there are no two ways about it. They cannot sell tickets, they cannot sell merchandise, they cannot operate in transfer markets, and things are totally up in the air. They CAN still sell the club though, but Abramovich will not be able to make a penny from the sale. I am not sure what kind of position that puts him in, because he was wanting to put any profits from the sale towards those effected in the Ukraine war anyway, so he might still decide to sell up. I can’t see any other options really. So although the report below begins with saying Abramovich cannot sell, the below tweet clears up that he actually can, but he just can’t make anything from it.

The British politicians are bullies and cowards. They are afraid to face the aggressor Putin and hold him accountable for his aggression. Instead they find softer targets to victimize and vent their anger on. In the US there are known business pals of Putin whom we don't even have time for. The culprit is Putin. This is a dictator and dictators don't take advice from anyone, which means, whatever decisions he makes are his own. How do you therefore justify punishing people who are not even politicians simply because they do business with him. Have those British politicians not done any business at all with him in the past? Have they never had any diplomatic ties at all with his government? They should stop hiding behind their fingers and come out in the open to face Putin.
