Atlético de Madrid has reached an agreement with Sporting CP over the transfer of Luciano Vietto. The striker, who is currently on loan at Fulham, arrived at our club ahead of the 2015/16 season and will now continue his career in Portugal.
Vietto played 38 matches at Atletico, out of which 25 were in LaLiga, seven in the Champions League and six in the Copa del Rey.
The Argentine will now seek a new challenge in Portugal, and Atlético de Madrid wishes him the best of luck in this new step.

He was very promising at Racing and had a good first season in Europe with Villarreal, even broke Atletico's unbeaten run in the Vicente Calderon if I remember correctly. Guess that's what really pushed them to make the move but pressure of the big money move got to him I guess. Still scored his first goal for Atleti in the Madrid derby
