OFFICIAL: Conte will remain at home in Italy to recover from his, meanwhile Stellini steps in as Spurs interim boss.

The club statement:

Following a routine post-operation check in Italy yesterday, Antonio Conte will remain at his family home to recover from his recent surgery.

Health is the most important consideration and everyone at the Club wishes him well. 

Cristian Stellini will assume First Team duties.

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte will miss West Ham game as he stays in Italy after operation check-up

Tottenham have confirmed that Antonio Conte will remain at his family home in Italy following a post-operation check after he had gallbladder surgery earlier this month.

Conte had the surgery on February 1 after being in significant pain, and was advised to take a break from the touchline, but he returned to train the Tottenham squad the following week.

However, he is now set to remain away from the team in Italy, with his assistant coach Cristian Stellini taking charge of the side for their home clash with West Ham on Sunday.
