OFFICIAL: Enzo Fernandez wins the FIFA World Cup Young Player award

Enzo Fernández was recognized as the the FIFA World Cup Young Player. He entered the list on the hour, was a substitute and ended up playing his first World Cup as if he had been in the business for a decade. DESERVED.

And as Argentina are crowned champions of the world, so a nod was give to their young star, Enzo Fernandez, who was handed the award for best young player at the Qatar tournament.

The midfielder for Primeira Liga club Benfica was part of the engine room in the Albiceleste side, thus allowing the team’s talisman, Lionel Messi the luxury of choosing when to contribute. It worked a treat, and the future looks very positive for the 21 year old from San Martin.
