FC Barcelona and the Rayo Vallecano have reached an agreement for the transfer of Sergio Akieme, 21 years old. He signs until 2021, with two more expandable seasons. Akieme will have a release clause of 40 million euros and will join Barca B.
The player has already passed the medical tests today and has signed his new contract with Patrick Kluivert, Director of football training, and Ramón Planes, Technical secretary of the first team. The player will wear the number 18.
Sergio Akieme trained in Parla's football base until he signed for Rayo Vallecano as a youth. In June 2017 he made debut at Rayo Vallecano. He played two games in Primera División in 2018/19 season and this season he started in the first matchday against Mirandés.
