Bayer Leverkusen have officially announced via their social media that Dutch international goalkeeper Mark Flekken has signed with the club until 2028. After two years at Brentford, Flekken returns to the Bundesliga.
According to reports, the transfer fee is €10 million.
Flekken played 74 Premier League matches for Brentford, keeping 14 clean sheets. He initially joined the English side from SC Freiburg in May 2023, replacing David Raya as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Following Flekken’s departure, Brentford are set to sign Liverpool keeper Caoimhín Kelleher for £18 million.
