OFFICIAL: Monaco signs winger Detourbet from Man City on loan with option to buy

Official news, Monaco has signed left winger Detourbet on loan from Manchester City, with an option to buy.

Monaco officially announced that the club has signed left winger Mathis Detourbet on loan from Manchester City for one season, with the option to extend for another season and a purchase option.

Born in Troyes on April 29, 2007, Detourbet began his football career at the Troyes Municipal Sports Club, then joined Troyes in 2015. He completed his youth training system at Troyes and signed his first professional contract on May 8, 2025. A few months earlier, on January 15, he made his first-team debut in the Coupe de France against Rennes, and five days later, he made his Ligue 2 debut against Annecy.

He gradually entered the Troyes first-team rotation, making 13 appearances in the second half of the 2024-2025 season, showing glimpses of his potential. In the 2025-26 season, the young winger further fulfilled his talent, continued to grow in the Troyes squad, and became an important member of the team. Throughout the season, he made 37 appearances for Troyes, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists.

According to previous reports, Manchester City signed Detourbet from Troyes, a club under the City Football Group, for a total of 25 million euros.
