Phil Foden has been announced as the Premier League's Player of the Year with his sensational performances spearheading Man City's pursuit of the Premier League title.
The England international has played a pivotal role in Pep Guardiola's side throughout the season.
Foden has scored 17 goals and set up a further eight in the Premier League this season, directly contributing to 25 goals.
His form has helped take Man City to the cusp of a record-breaking fourth consecutive Premier League title.
Man City will win the title should they beat West Ham on Sunday amid a close battle with Arsenal throughout the campaign.
Foden said: 'To win this award is an achievement that I am extremely proud of.
'The Premier League is acknowledged as the greatest league in the world, and it is a pleasure to have been nominated with so many other great players who have all enjoyed special seasons for their clubs.
'Overall, I've been very happy with the way I have played this season and really pleased that I have been able to contribute with the goals and assists throughout the season.
'I'd like to thank all of the City staff, coaches and especially my teammates because without them this wouldn't be possible. And I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted for me as the award means a lot.'
Foden was nominated alongside Man City team-mate and last year’s winner Erling Haaland, as well as Arsenal duo Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice.
Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk, Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer were also nominated for the award.
Palmer was announced as the Young Player of the Year on Friday.
Foden becomes the fifth consecutive Man City player to win the Player of the Year award.
Kevin De Bruyne earned the award in the 2019-20 and 21-22 seasons, either side of Ruben Dias securing the honour.
Haaland claimed the award last season.
Foden is the first English player to win the award since Jamie Vardy in the 2015-16 season.

Even the young player of the season he deserves it but people were too emotional because it’s Palmer first season at Chelsea that’s why they think he deserves it palmer scored 22 goals and 9 penalties out of it and foden score 17 goals with penalties they both score two hatric foden score three free kicks so you can see he deserves it more if it’s by only goal then haland should have won it

For me I think Rodri deserves the award more than anyone. It was difficult for the City when Rodri was absent especially in big games. He is the Engine room of Manchester City. But you see, he is not from England, so, it is taken away from him
