Salah is arguably the African best player on this list, but when it comes to best performing best African player of last season, Victor Osimhen is simply the best. He helped Napoli win the League for the first time in 30 years with the highest goal scorer award, while Salah in his magnificent went trophy less and couldn't help his team qualify for Champions League. Morocco did exceptionally well at the World Cup creating a history along the line but fell short of winning. Mahrez won the Treble with City but was not fully involved as he sat on the bench most often that it led to his exit. Mane was disrupted by injuries and off form. Therefore, for me Victor Osimhen deserves the Player of the Year Award.
