Bayern confirm that Hasan Salihamidzic, whose contract expires next summer, will have his contract extended and will be promoted to the executive board from 1 July 2020.
An official statement reads: "Salihamidzic has been sporting director since summer 2017 & did an excellent job during that time."
"This applies not only to the professional sector, in which he is largely responsible for the sporting success of recent years, but also for the field of youth in the academy."
