OFFICIAL: Vincent Janssen leaves Tottenham to join Mexican club Monterrey

Spurs forward Vincent Janssen has completed a permanent move to Mexican side C.F. Monterrey.

A £17m signing from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2016, to say it never quite worked out for the big Dutch striker in north London would be something of an understatement.

He scored just two goals in 27 Premier League appearances in his first campaign, and was shipped off on loan to Fenerbahce for his second.

He’s now left permanently to join Mexican club CF Monterrey, following a Spurs career which featured just six goals in 42 games in all competitions.
