Oblak coy on transfer talk amid links to Manchester United this summer

Jan Oblak has insisted he's in no hurry to leave Spanish champions Atletico Madrid, but the keeper admitted he still could be sold if the club need to raise funds.

The 28-year-old lifted his first LaLiga title last season, playing all 38 matches and keeping more clean-sheets than any other keeper in the league – in another season which confirmed Oblak's place among the world's best shot-stoppers.

Manchester United are being linked with a move for the six-foot-two star, with neither Dean Henderson nor David de Gea able to nail down the No.1 spot before the summer break.

Oblak has insisted that he's happy with life at the Wanda Metropolitano, and had no interest in stoking talk of a move away.

'I can't see the future, neither myself nor the club nor anyone can,' the Slovenian told Marca.

'It will depend on a lot of factors, such as if the club needs to sell any players or not.

'I have nothing to say about my future, I have been at Atleti seven years and I have two years left on my contract.

'I have played more than 300 games here and, while I enjoy having won La Liga Santander, I'm not thinking about anything else.

'I'm here, I'm happy. We'll see what the future brings.'

Oblak has a £103m release clause in his Atleti contract and has a deal extending into 2023 at the club, putting the Spaniards in a strong position to keep their stopper.

Instead of a summer switch Oblak looks set to focus on a title defence next season, and can expect to have Joao Felix alongside him once again. The striker has shut-down talk of a move away, after his game-time was reduced by Diego Simeone.
