Official: Lamela to Sevilla and Bryan Gil to Tottenham

Sevilla have officially announced the arrival of Erik Lamela this Monday, while Tottenham have also made their signing of Bryan Gil official. This is the swap deal of the summer so far, with the Spanish side also collecting 25 million euros and a possible 5m euros more in add-ons.

Lamela has signed a three-year contract with Sevilla and is already on his way to their training camp in Portugal.

Bryan Gil, meanwhile, has put pen to paper on a contract with Spurs that will run to 2026. The 20-year-old was excellent while on loan with Eibar last season and Monchi has cashed in on this prime asset.

Lamela has been linked with moves to Spain in the past, but is only now starting a Spanish adventure at the age of 29.

"I had the opportunity to come here when I was younger, but I'm over the moon that I'm finally here," he said after signing.

"I'm delighted with the opportunity. I had teammates who spoke to me and I didn't hesitate to join for a second.

"I really wanted to play in LaLiga before retiring. I still have a lot left to give, and the opportunity right now is very exciting for me.

"Sevilla is a huge club which has won several titles. I'm over the moon. I'm going to give it my all to try and help the team in any way that I can."
