Tottenham star Sergio Reguilon insists his old club Real Madrid will come good this season, laughing off claims they could drop down to the Europa League.
Zinedine Zidane's side have endured a difficult start to the season both domestically and in Europe, suffering woeful defeats in both competitions.
In the Champions League, they lost to Shakhtar Donetsk and had to come from 2-0 down to salvage a draw against Borussia Monchengladbach, but Regulion was insistent that they will qualify from their group.
'Facing Madrid in the Europa League? Oh shut up man, shut up,' Regulion told a reporter at a press conference while on Spain duty.
'That would be a very bad sign. Madrid is going to move on, they will fix what is happening in the Champions League.'
Reguilon headed to Spurs in the summer alongside Gareth Bale, who endured a difficult few years at the Bernabeu, being forced to warm the bench.
While Bale is only on an initial loan deal at Spurs, Reguilon admits he has been much happier in north London and is even acting as a translator to help the Spanish speakers.
'Bale sometimes even acts as a translator for some specific things,' Reguilon confirmed. 'He is much more comfortable speaking English with all his colleagues, it shows a lot. I see him happier, comfortable in a team.'
Reguilon is currently on Spain duty after receiving a call-up to Luis Enrique's side. He has been very impressive since arriving at Spurs and has helped Jose Mourinho's side to second in the Premier League and top of their Europa League group.

I think it's best for them to go to Europa because they stand a chance of winning it rather than the UCL where they would go out be eliminated in no time. I think my opinion counts
