Ole “Can’t ask for more backing”
Ole Gunnar Solskjear has said that he “can’t ask for more backing” after the club signed Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho from Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund respectively. This represents a far cry from previous seasons, where club backing was at a premium for the Manchester United legend.
Despite this, Manchester United are still expected to be active in the transfer window before it shuts on August 31st, both regarding incomings and outgoings.
Ruben Neves “reasonably down the line”
According to reports, Manchester United could well be set to name Ruben Neves as their third summer signing with a deal for the Wolves man “reasonably down the line”.
The Wolves midfielder was thought to be on Arsenal’s radar earlier in the summer, but links between the pair have gone cold in recent weeks, leaving Manchester United in pole position for his signature.
Could the midfielder prove to be the missing piece in the Red Devils’ side following the two big-money acquisitions so far this window?
Paul Pogba front and centre in kit launch
It was previously reported that Paul Pogba and Manchester United were set for a future apart, with Paris Saint Germain sniffing around the French midfielder who has just 12 months left on his deal in the North West.
According to Adam Crafton, although PSG have not yet had contact with Manchester United themselves, but are keen on further bolstering the centre of their midfield, even after the acquisition of Georginio Wijnaldum earlier in the transfer window.
Could today’s news have hinted at Pogba’s ultimate decision though?
In Manchester United’s latest kit launch, which saw them release their new away kit, Pogba can be seen front and centre. Of course, kit launches are filmed in advance and players do still leave after shooting them, but to place Pogba front and centre of the new launch suggests there is a confidence that the World Cup winner will remain in Manchester.

In my opinion I feel like SOLSKJÆR priority should be a defensive midfielder, I believe that's what's needed to take united to the next level. Hopefully he feels the same way I do cos united should really be winning trophies

get us that well needed CDM then you can say he as got full backing because 50% or 80% is not full backing we'll need a CDM to create that link between defence and attack with interceptions and accurate passing
