Bruno Fernandes netted in the Premier League on Sunday to add to his impressive goal-involvement figures since joining Manchester United.
Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes continued his impressive form for the Red Devils with another goal in Sunday's Premier League clash with West Brom.
Only Messi and Lewandowski have been involved in more goals
The Portugal international's volley at The Hawthorns took him to 22 goals in 38 top-flight appearances since making his United debut on 1 February 2020, adding to his 16 assists.
Fernandes' 38 combined goals and assists is bettered only by Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski in Europe's top five leagues.
Barcelona forward Messi and Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski have both been directly involved in 44 goals over that same period.
Fernandes' impact second only to ex-United star Cole
Only former United striker Andy Cole has been directly involved in more Premier League goals (46 – 33 scored, 13 assisted) after 38 matches than Fernandes.
Fernandes' 44th-minute goal was only enough to earn a draw for United, who had fallen behind to Mbaye Diagne's early opener for struggling West Brom.
The result leaves Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men seven points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City, who have a game in hand.

Incredibly overrated cos of the stats. Agree to disagree but I think people overlook the 89 minutes of him underperforming for the 1 minute he will show up. There have been numerous games where hes been invisible but suddenly gets a goal or assist. In theory that sounds amazing and is useful domt get me wrong but ultimately when you break down his play he has minuscule influence on the pitch for a majority of the game. When you speak of Messi or Lewy these are players who influence the game with every touch of the ball. To put Fernandes in that category cos of individual moments of brilliance is a disrespect for the players who orchestrate the game for massive periods. Fernandes often ranks highest for most possession turnovers and incredibly low for dribbles over 90 mins, ranking in as 1 of the worst dribblers of the ball in the league as a midfielder actually. Luckily he has the assets to be a moments impact man. But he really isnt as good as the stats sell him. I'm sure a lot of hate and backlash will follow this comment but it's just my opinion.

I know there are Degea haters out there but he was among the positive side on the game and saved Maguire's ass .....👏🏽👏🏽 Salute David...Most fans think its him but defense is the problem.
