Oxlade-Chamberlain & Andy Robertson lift the lid on the Liverpool dressing room

He may be the Premier League's top scorer with 15 goals, and have amassed an astonishing 115 goals in just 183 games since moving to Merseyside, but Mohamed Salah does not have the best left foot in the Liverpool squad.

In fact, he's third on the list.

That's according to team-mates Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Andy Robertson, who have revealed the inner workings of the Premier League champions and answered the most pressing questions about the squad.

In a hard-hitting interview that covered Oxlade-Chamberlain's dancing prowess and Robertson's fandom of pop group Little Mix, the revelation about Salah came as Robertson eventually conceded that not even he had the best left foot at Liverpool.

'Are you telling me you've got a better left foot than Shaq (Xherdan Shaqiri)?' Oxlade-Chamberlain asked Robertson in an interview with Sky Sports Football.

Robertson then agreed, but when prompted about Salah, gave an emphatic 'no chance!' and stuck him in third place.

'We're talking technique here,' Oxlade-Chamberlain explained before saying he had one of the better weaker foots in the squad.

'If you saw Mo (Salah) using his right, you'd be telling me I've got a worldie of a left foot!'

The conversation also revealed the person Virgil van Dijk most enjoys mocking in the team WhatsApp group: Joel Matip.

The Cameroonian is renowned in the squad for being unintentionally funny, which his Dutch centre-back partner share videos of. 'Virg (Virgil van Dijk) is the main instigator, he loves him,' said Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Matip is infamous for his apparent marching towards the referee 'when a decision gets given against him', Robertson explained, with his reaction to Richarlison's foul on Thiago Alcantara in the Merseyside derby a prime example.

'We ask him and he says he doesn't realise what he's doing or why he does the things he does,' said Oxlade-Chamberlain. 'It just comes out of him.'

But there was some good news for Robertson as Oxlade-Chamberlain said he was manager Jurgen Klopp's favourite player.

'To his credit, he's earned the right,' Oxlade-Chamberlain said in a rare compliment. 'He's been probably our most consistent player. He's earned that respect from the gaffer.'

For his part, Robertson modestly put Van Dijk and goal-keeper Alisson above himself in Klopp's affections. But only those two.

Oxlade-Chamberlain also said Robertson was one of the best left-backs in the world, though he was quick to temper any further kindness by saying he'd achieved it despite having 'such bad technique and footballing ability'.

'I don't know how it's possible, but it is,' he continued. 'I've played against him a good few times and it's (Robertson's technique) is horrible.'

Robertson unsurprisingly turned down the plaudit, saying he was very impressed with the likes of Chelsea's Ben Chilwell and Alphonso Davies at Bayern Munich.
