Marcus Rashford scored the only goal from the penalty spot as England took a 1-0 victory over Romania in their last warm-up match for Euro 2020
It was a good performance by the Manchester United star in his first match as England captain as other players also caught the eye.
James Ward-Prowse staked his claim to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold in the England squad, while after a sloppy start Tyrone Mings recovered well in the second-half.
Sportsmail's Sami Mokbel rated the players on Sunday night.
ENGLAND (4-2-3-1)
Sam Johnstone - Solid on his debut and made a brilliant save late on to keep England on course for victory. 7

Watched the mat h, honestly Marcus ran about, aimlessly, kindalike a headless chicken. He has been playing selfishly and was hell bent on trying to do things on his own. I questioned whether Southgate has given him the same roll of freedom that he is given by OGS. There is story that he is supposedly been playing injured, but, if it's true. Why call on him for national duty. He still Displays immaturity infront of goal and in his decision making between going solo or passing the ball. He so often makes the incorrect choice. I was quite surprised that he remained on the field for so long. If he goes on to play like this I can't see England going far in this Tournament.
