PSG are set to leave the Parc des Princes for the first time in their history after a row with the Paris mayor.
The French side have played their home games at the stadium since their formation in 1970, and are said to have invested over £75million in its facilities in the last few years.
Major Anne Hidalgo, however, has said the city are unwilling to sell the stadium to the club, resulting in a falling out and PSG's apparent upcoming exit.
The Ligue 1 champions were said to have been willing to invest another £440million to improve the stadium further, but Hidalgo has closed a potential deal after negotiations over a potential deal.
Via ESPN, Hidalgo told Le Parisien newspaper: 'We have a very clear position. The Parc des Princes is not for sale, and it will not be sold. This is a firm and definitive position. It is an exceptional heritage for Parisians.'
A spokesperson for PSG then told ESPN: 'It is surprising and disappointing to hear that the mayor of Paris is taking a position which, effectively, will force PSG, our fans and communities away from the Parc des Princes, while also, quite remarkably, adding tens of millions of Euros to the taxpayer burden to maintain the structure of the building, which is now 50 years old and in need of renovation.'
It is believed Hidalgo is still keen to work with the club to improve the stadium, which the club are reluctant to do if they don't own it.
The club added: 'It is regrettable that the Mayor is now suddenly foreclosing the sale discussions we've been having for a long time, with the club now sadly forced to advance alternative options for our home, which is not the outcome the club or our fans were hoping for.'
PSG last played in the stadium on Wednesday, beating Angers 2-0.

PSG is not a real club. How can a club that has been in existence for so long not have a stadium. I thought that only happened in poor countries

PSG is quite a bug club with a booming financial system. For the time they have existed they should have built their own stadium other than using Parc Des Princes. I think the mayor is right to hold onto the privatization of a national asset.........I hope the Psg faithfuls understand her too
