Paris Saint-Germain have labelled Neymar as a 'legend of the club' after the Brazilian departed to complete a £78million move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Neymar leaves Paris after joining for a world record fee six years ago to pursue a new venture in Saudi Arabia at 31-years-old.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi hailed the impact that Neymar has had on the club and stated in an emotional farewell: 'It is always difficult to say goodbye to such an exceptional player as Neymar, one of the best in the world.
'I will never forget the day he arrived at Paris Saint-Germain and what he brought to our club and the project over the past six years.
'We have lived great moments and Neymar will always be part of our history. I want to thank Neymar and his family.
'We wish Neymar all the best for the future and his next adventure,' he added.
The Brazilian international departs France after a hugely successful stint at the club that saw him help the club to five Ligue 1 titles and 13 domestic honours in total.
However, he was unable to help PSG end their relentless pursuit for a first Champions League title. A task that now looks harder to achieve without Neymar in their ranks.
The former Barcelona winger did guide the reigning French champions to the competition's final in 2020 where they fell agonisingly short against Bayern Munich.
But, his time in France has also been overshadowed by a series of recurring injuries and reported fallings out with PSG team-mate Kylian Mbappe.
The most recent altercation between the pair erupted in September last year with Neymar hinting that his feud with the Frenchman was not over.
But, the debacle was eventually settled after sporting director Luis Campos hauled both Neymar and Mbappe in for crunch talks as things threatened to spiral over.
Mbappe was similarly pursued for a move to Saudi Arabia this summer before his future was rectified and he was reintroduced to PSG's first-team after previously being banished.
Meanwhile, Neymar is set to earn a whopping £260million after becoming the Saudi Pro League's latest marquee arrival.

PSG were knocked out of the Champions League in the Round of 16 in both seasons of the Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar era. Never quite worked out 💔
