Winning the World Cup is often the pinnacle of a footballer's career, and after achieving the feat this summer with France, Paul Pogba has chosen to mark the moment with a special commemorative hair cut.

This browser does not support the video element.

The Manchester United midfielder posted a video on Instagram where he showed off his new trim, which features two gold stars in honour of Les Bleus second World Cup triumph.

Featuring alongside a-list hairdressers A Star Barbers, who have also worked with Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy, Pogba could also be seen playing football before having the cut.

After performing a cheeky nutmeg at the start of the video, he then proceeded to the barber's chair, where the new two-gold star design was revealed.

Pogba played a starring role in his country's success, scoring the third goal in the 4-2 win over Croatia in the final, but his future at club level remains unclear.

As reported by Sportsmail earlier this week, the 25-year-old has spoken privately about securing a move away from Manchester United following tensions with manager Jose Mourinho.

La Liga champions Barcelona have expressed an interest in signing the midfielder following his World Cup exploits, but United have insisted he is not for sale at any price.

His agent, Mino Raiola, declined to comment on the situation when contacted on Tuesday, saying: ‘I will never make declarations about Paul. You have to speak to Manchester United.’

Pogba is a key player for United and a symbol of the club worldwide – even more so after winning the World Cup with France this summer.

But his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho has become increasingly strained, fuelling his desire to leave Old Trafford for a second time and move to Spain.
