Paul the Octopus! Man Utd star Pogba grows new limbs in bizarre adidas advert

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has grown four extra legs in a bizarre advert for adidas' brand new Ultraboost 19 trainers.

In the wacky short clip posted to his Instagram page, the Frenchman begins with his normal two arms and two legs, saying to camera: 'This is me eight weeks ago, just a world champion footballer.'

Seconds later, he shows off a spoof 'Ultra Energy Octopus Protein Bar', which enables him to be 'world class at all types of different things'.

From there, the advert takes an even more bizarre turn, showing the Frenchman painting, picking flowers, doing kick-ups and getting a pedicure at the same time with his new eight-limbed Octopus body.

He then wins the Chess Foot Championship and introduces an 'eight-step dance', before appearing on the front cover of 'High Five Friendship Mag' claiming that 'eight is the new five' as he uses 'all his limbs to say hey!'.

It is only when the Manchester United midfielder utters the words 'anything is possible' that it becomes clear he is advertising for adidas' latest product.

Indeed, they claim that if you want 'real energy' - and not the fake Octopus energy - then Ultraboost 19s are the way to go.

In more realistic matters, Pogba is currently on an international break with his French colleagues, who are about to start their first qualifying campaign since winning the World Cup last summer.

France play Moldova and Iceland in their opening two matches, and the squad are currently at their Clairefontaine base preparing for the ties.

At club level, Pogba's United have lost their last two matches but are still riding the crest of a wave under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United sit fifth in the table and are battling hard for one of the four Champions League spots at the top of the Premier League.
